The closest airport to Charleston is Charleston International Airport.
There are no direct international flights to Charleston but a number of airlines fly to Charleston (CHS) via hubs such as New York or Atlanta.
Domestic flights can be booked with American, Continental, Delta, United and US Airways directly to Charleston. Southwest will also start flying direct to Charleston from select cities in March.

Once you've landed you can pick up a rental car, take a taxi (between $25 and $30) or take a shuttle that runs every 15 minutes ($12).
